The Japanese Truck industry has blamed the anime genre 'Isekai' for giving the industry a bad reputation.
As reported in Japan's the Weekly Logistic News, a transport manager based in Shizuoka, Japan, has claimed the logistics industry's reputation is being ruined by the Isekai anime genre.
Isekai's common trope is that the anime protagonist is 'killed', usually being hit by a truck or large van. Upon waking up, they are transported to a fantasy world and usually embark on an adventure.
The transport manager said that these anime have subliminal messaging that will discourage many young Japanese people working within the logistic sector.
